Poetry for Palestine.

Learn from them.

In the animals kingdom

The laws are set in stone,

But when one is hurt,

They're never left alone.

If a crow is hit,

By someone's cruel hand,

All the crows will gather,

To protect their fellow band.

They'll use their beaks,

To tear the attacker's head,

And their voices will echo,

For justice to be spread.

They seek revenge,

And claim their right,

To live in peace,

And end the fight.

But as humans,

Why do we lack,

Empathy for others,

And turn our backs?

In the land of Palestine,

Warfare rages on,

But where is our empathy,

For those who are torn?

We let religion divide us,

And blind us to the truth,

We forget our humanity,

And our compassion, aloof.

Why can't we come together,

And lend a helping hand,

Not for religion,

But for the sake of our fellow man?

Why can't we raise our voices,

And call for a ceasefire,

To end this conflict,

And let peace transpire?

The law of the animal kingdom,

Is one of unity and care,

Let's learn from them,

And spread love, not despair.

Najma masood.
