This Awareness programme was for more then 21 schools. .Students were very excited about the activity. It was a sunny day of April 27, 2017. All the student of our school were present, attendance was marvelous. Team started with an introduction and aware the students about the mission and project of WWF. Miss kiran was a member WWF team . She was focal person and coordinator for that day. Her style of conveying was very lively. Kiran(team member) told the students that WWF works in unity with many to achieve lasting conservation results. We can protect and restore animal species and their habitats. In pakistan leapords are going extinct. WWF is working to protect these species from declining in number. The population of leapord found in Hamalian range Gilgit Baltistan and chitral is reducing because of global warming.A growing population needs have also lead to the decimation of the animals habitats and forests and resulted in loss and endangerment of animals and plants.
After answer questions session Miss kiran tought them how to plant trees. With demonstrating demo, she gave basic guid lines to follow, while planting first of all dig a hole which should be deeper than the plant, than remove the plant gently from its container, carefully place the plant in the hole. Fill around the plant with soil, press the soil down and water the plant . After this activity plants were distributed among 452 student's, that was gift from collaboration partner Bestways cement, to grow plant at home. The purpose of the activity was to promote love for greenery. It was purely an awareness campaign. Speaking at the occasion Maryum Usman focal person of the partner company said it is a great informational and educational activity that has enriched the lives of hundreds and thousands of children.
